Brothers Mike and Mark were raised by their parents, Robert and Dorothy Getz, in
Madison Township of St. Joseph County, IN. The family proudly farmed and
raised dairy cows for over 50 years. Robert Getz fueled the boys' interest in
auctions with his knowledge of primitive antiques.
A Family Tradition
Auction Day was always an exciting day in the Getz home. The boys would
auction and Mom Getz would clerk the outside auction. Sister Vicki helped clerk
whenever she could. Mike's son, Kerry, has continued the tradition of a family
auction and hopes to pass it down to his 4 sons. Kay, Mike's wife, has performed
the role of cashier and many other people have helped work the auctions
throughout the years.
Mike is the auction organizer, watching over every detail and giving good advice to
all of our clients to help them have a successful auction. Mark brings excitement
to the auction as he opens the calling. Kerry may have the hardest job, keeping
the auction ring moving with precision.
